Submissions > Doctoral Consortium
The Doctoral Consortium provides PhD students with a forum for expressing their research interests, comparing approaches with others and exploring ideas for the future of television. The consortium provides an excellent opportunity to share ideas, to connect with peers and to receive supportive feedback from members of the television community.
Submissions should describe PhD research that is at an early stage where feedback from the TV community might be of value. We expect submissions from students who are close to making a PhD research proposal, or have made it already but have at least a year of work remaining to complete their PhD thesis. Accepted submissions will published on this website.
Submission Criteria
Submissions for the Doctoral Consortium must be made via uxTV2008 's CMT (Conference Management Service).
Submissions must not exceed three pages (including references) and should be prepared using an ACM SIG Proceedings Template. They should include the title, author, abstract, keywords, thesis research summary and references. Submissions must be in PDF format.
Submissions should be well organized and clearly specify:

- the aims and objectives of the research
- the methodology to achieve the objectives and the proposed solution(s), including a brief description of work done so far and a tentative plan for future work
