Submissions

The conference program will include a variety of outstanding papers and presentations. The different types of submissions are summarized below. You are encouraged to present your best work at the conference. All submissions must be made through uxTV2008's CMT (Conference Management Service). Choose the links below for instructions on each type of submission.

Long papers. (up to 10 pages) Unpublished original work. Refereed. Accepted long papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library and in the Conference proceedings. Accepted long papers must be presented in person by an author at the conference during a scheduled paper session. There will be a maximum of 24 long papers accepted.

Short papers/posters.(Short papers up to 4 pages) Late breaking findings, work-in-progress, burning-issues. Unpublished original work. Refereed. Accepted short papers will be selected for oral presentation or poster presentation by the program committee. Short papers accepted for oral presentation are to be presented by the author during a scheduled paper session, and will be published in the ACM Digital Library and printed in the Conference Proceedings. Short papers accepted for poster presentation will be published on the conference web site. Authors of short papers accepted for poster presentation are to prepare a poster to be displayed at the conference and discussed during the Conference Poster/Demo session.

Tutorials and workshops. There are 3 tutorials and 2 workshops during the first day of the conference. (Oct. 22.) To attend a workshop, you must submit a 1-page position paper.

Doctoral Consortium. A doctoral consortium will be held on the first day of the conference (Oct 22) in the executive conference room. Doctoral students, whose proposals are accepted, will present their research-in-progress to other students and practitioners for feedback and encouragement.

Demos. Room will be reserved for the duration of the conference for the display of TV-related products, prototypes and applications. These can be viewed by conference attendees throughout the conference. A demo presenter must be present during the Conference Poster/Demo session to discuss the demo with attendees.
